Diana Antunes was a dancer for years, which led her to cultivate a strong passion for visual aesthetics and the exploration of the human body through representation and movement. It was during Superior Dance School that she decided to graduate in Cinema at the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies, in Lisbon.

She later moved to London where she worked as a filmmaker. Some of her work was showcased at Somerset House and at the Victoria & Albert Museum. In 2015, she did a film residence at California Institute of the Arts, in Los Angeles. She returned to Lisbon, and, ever since, she has been working as a director & photographer in advertising, documentary and fiction.

Some of Diana's personal work has been shortlisted at Berlin Commercial, Directors Notes, Booooooom, and at Curtas Vila do Conde Film Festival.

In 2023 her first Tv Fiction, O Pio dos Mochos, premiered on RTP1 Tv Channel. She’s currently working on her first documentary feature which has been selected as part of Docs in Progress at Thessaloniki Film Festival.
