At the core of human nature lies an unspoken urge to veil our suffering with masks that camouflage our true emotions. Through the lyrics of the song "Choradeira," we are reminded of the cathartic release that can come from relinquishing our pain to someone else. Inspired by this concept, I have crafted a moving tribute to pain itself, stripped bare of all pretense and laid bare for all to see.
In my vision, pain takes on a tangible form, personified by gangly, otherworldly bodies that roam a gritty urban landscape. As the protagonist sheds layer after layer of emotional armor, her discarded masks take on a life of their own, pursuing her relentlessly in a haunting battle of distancing versus acceptance.
